Transcript:

Hi, everyone. I'm Brian Krueger with CollegeGrad.com and this is The Job Search Minute. A videoconference interview requires unique interviewing skills. It is a live interview being conducted over a video link, either at a corporate videoconference center, or over a computer link with a webcam. You will typically have two screens to view; one will show you how the other party is viewing you. You should use this screen only in advance of the interview to make sure you are properly situated in frame, with your head and upper torso in the frame. Do not look at the screen during the interview. The other screen will show the interviewer. Look directly at this screen when the interviewer is speaking, but focus on making eye contact with the camera as much as possible when you are speaking.
