Monster.com (www.monster.com) Monster definitely has plenty of jobs. More than 1,000,000 at last count. But many of these are posted by recruiters
and are not "real" jobs at "real" companies. The problem with this is sorting through all the "clutter" jobs as well as
the "entry level need not apply" jobs to get to the ones that truly matter. Monster.com is the 800-pound gorilla of the
job search space and they act like it.
HotJobs (www.hotjobs.com) HotJobs is organized by job categories, which allows you to drill down quickly to the specific job type or industry
you are seeking. It's important to note that there is not a large amount of overlap between Monster.com and HotJobs,
both in terms of job postings and candidate registrations, so it's worth a visit.
Careerbuilder.com (www.careerbuilder.com) Careerbuilder.com shows over 300,000 jobs representing more than 25,000 employers in virtually every industry and
field. They also claim to have more than 3,000,000 active resumes. Do the math--that's 10 resumes for every available
job. Not very good odds, but that is the reality.
