I am in my early 40s and I was wondering how to write a resume that will reflect my experience.
I have a lot of customer service experience and manager/supervisor experience. How can I put it all together?
I had many jobs, but I just don't know how to word it so that it looks good when I write my resume and cover letter.

ANSWER FROM BRIAN KRUEGER:
Hi Patrizia -
Start with one of our Quickstart Resume templates.
Then "spend your money wisely"--what I mean by that is you need to think of each line of your resume as
"worth something"--let's say $1 for this discussion.
Then, as you are constructing your resume, continually ask yourself the question--"Is it worth spending a buck (one line)
on that information?"
With a standard resume, consider it to be worth $50 and each line is worth $1.
If it's not worth including (compared to the other information you have available to "spend" on a line or more in
your resume), don't include it.
This will allow you to focus on what is the most important information as you pare down your resume.
And you will end up with a resume that is very targeted and specific.
Spend each line wisely and balance all new information off what you already have--if it's more important,
include it and discard the old.
