QUESTION:
Currently I am a Senior at American University. I have a doble Major in Latin American Studies and Public Relations. My problem pertains to what I want to do after I graduate. I want to go to Barcelon and find a job, where as my parents are completely opposed. They believe I should stay in Washington D.C. and gain experience here. Even though unemployment rate in Spain is 23%, I still feel I can get a job. Do you believe that I am being too hasty and irrational? Mr parents are from Spain. I have gone every summer to visit relatives. I speak the language. I have a GPA OF 3.2. With this qualifications, do you believe that I will have a hard time?

ANSWER FROM BRIAN KRUEGER:
Hi Sandra -
I do not have a direct answer to your question of whether or not you will be able to find a job in Spain. But I do know what the answer will be if you don't try.
Pursue your dream first. Just make sure you make your best effort and are willing to move on quickly if your pursuit is unsuccessful. Set a specific amount of time to pursue your dream, after which you should come follow your backup strategy.
No matter what the eventual outcome, you will never have to look over your shoulder and wonder "What if?"
